Conducting Interviews
So why conduct interviews for use in a production item or news story?
Interviews contribute to an item in 2 main ways:
1. Collect information, ideas, opinions other than the production team's own thoughts
2. Add interest to the item by including other people in the item
2. Includes the school community in items - gives students a reason to want to watch!
Who should be interviewed for an item or story?
1. People who are directly involved in the story - they bring real perspective and real information to inform the topic
2. people who have expert knowledge
