The Pen Tool
The pen tool is used in multiple Adobe programs - Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects.
It is used to draw a custom "path" that can then be converted to a "selection" (Right click>make selection).
Pixels are now "selected" on a layer and can be added to a design or the pixels can be deleted from an existing design element (shape.) It is often used to create custom shapes.
The pen too is a little tricky to use at first and does take some practice. Follow the tutorial below to learn how to use the tool and then practice on your own projects.
