Excellent Tutorial that follows our process
Process Reminders:
Place a bright coloured background on the video track below (track 1) your green screen video - this will help see the quality of the "Ultra Key" effect you add.
1. Add "New Item" on video track below the video you are cutting out - see below
As shown in the Tutorials:
2. Under Effects Tab search "8 Point Garbage Matte" - drag and drop on top of video clip to be "Keyed Out"
3. Under Effects Tab search "Ultra Key" effects - drag and drop on top of video clip to be cut out
Go to "Effects Controls" panel to make adjustments as per the tutorials
Ultra Key adjustments
Under "Matte Generation" Adjust:
1. "Pedestal" to 90 - 100 first
2. Leave "Tolerance" at 50 - it won't make any significant difference
3. Select "Output" dropdown
4. Adjust Transparency, Highlight and Shadow - only adjust each setting for best "Key"
5. Then on the Output drop down switch to "Alpha Channel" - it will show your "key" in Black and White
Subject (person) will be "white" - pink shows as the background behind the subject "Keyed" out (cutout)
Subject must be solid white - no grey or black
Background (green screen) must be solid black - no grey or white
6. Fine tune the Transparency, Highlight and Shadow adjustments for the cleanest B&W "Key"
7. Go back to "Composite" to view your final Key over the pink background
You will have to go back and forth between Highlight, Highlight and Shadow for best results! Be critical of your Key to get the best results!!!
