30 second Radio Commercial Teacher Exemplar - Uber Eats
Unit Description:
The objective of this unit is to provide answers to "what makes a good radio commercial" and "how can I do it"? Students will explore the key concepts and basic skills of audio editing as a unique and interesting way to “communicate” a message. During this hands-on unit, students will learn industry processes, terminology and techniques to explore TV & video production and audio editing, all for fun or for a potential future pathway and career!
This unit can be complete using a PC, Mac and Chromebook.
Project: Radio Commercial
For this project students will re-create a pre-produced 30 second radio commercial. You will learn the key concepts and techniques necessary to develop and edit a successful and engaging radio commercial for a target audience.
Project content/media required for this unit will be provided for you to download via your courses VLE and Google Drive folder shared by your teacher.
Unit Duration
2 weeks (10 periods for project intro through project export and self-reflection)
During this unit students will be producing 2 versions of the radio commercial below.
Version 1: Exact re-creation of the exemplar
Version 2: Student will modify the provided script to reflect their own preferences.
Re-write the tagline with something that is better!
Record their own voice and a family or friend's voice to replace the existing voices!
Replace the music with their own instrumental choice (must be appropriate for school and to capture spirit of commecial)
